Elon Musk has shown that he's not afraid to call out the left on some of their horrible policies.
One of the things he has been most concerned about is standing against radical ideologies and preserving the constitutional principles we have in the West.
During an interview with The Economist's editor-in-chief, Zanny Minton Beddoes, Beddoes tried to paint him as "far right," because of his criticism of how the government has approached things like immigration in the United Kingdom. Musk shot that characterization down, saying it was normal to want secure borders, safe cities, and sensible spending.
"If people are coming to a country with antithetical views, I am against that," he said.
"I'm against rape and murder, I'm against the imposition of rules and laws that are contrary to what we've come to accept in the West," he continued, criticizing the media for not understanding or reflecting this.
Beddoes tried to attack Elon Musk over that, saying, "You don't even live there!" She asked if he understood how some people "loathe you."

Much of the alleged "news media" has long since given up what was supposed to be their job of reporting the facts to the people, in favor of pushing agenda "journalism." The media has earned all the loathing they get, and we're all in with Elon on despising the liberal media.
Meanwhile, Musk is probably one of the most accomplished men in the world who has brought so much to it, with his work on SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). He put everything on the line for freer speech by buying X, then getting targeted by the Left for doing so. That's one of the reasons many have great admiration for him.
Elon has brought incredible things to the world. The liberal media, not so much.

It was an interesting lie, probably created by the news media, that they were there to be a watchdog over the govenment and be the defenders of the truth. When Bill Clinton was caught with his pants dow, oh, bad analogy, caught lying, Walter Cronkite decided to throw away his reputation and admit he lied all the time.
ReplyDeleteThomas Jefferson quipped that the most honest part of the newspapers was the advertisements. We were fools to believe that the news media was anything more than partisan whores. They have zero principles and only care that their candidate wins. Doubly so for so called "fact checkers".
News media can be partisan. They can highlight the side of the argument that benefits them while suppressing the part that damages their preferred position.

Unferth, you are absolutely correct. The Clinton analogy made me chuckle. Cronkite was never telling it "the way it is", he didn't get caught with his pants down per se. but he did lie constantly. "Fact-checkers" should have all been rounded up, tarred and feathered, and ran off the air. Those are the bastards that kicked me off Fecesbook every time I posted something they didn't like but that was proven to be true later ... after the furor died down ... on the bottom of the 4th page.

DeleteMy only add to this thread is simple; There is absolutely no reason to NOT bully, mock, ridicule, lie to, threaten, and or treat like total shit, any and all members of the modern media. They lie for a living and then expect a medal for the efforts. They deserve nothing less that scorn and derision from all of us! The modern media has but one job, and that is to fundamentally destroy the idea of the USA. And they are succeeding fabulously.
