DeSantis Shuts Down Flock Cameras In Florida

Governor Ron DeSantis just ordered that all* Flock cameras be shut down in the state of Florida over the next 30 days. This comes as controversy over the cameras has reached a fever pitch around the nation after it was revealed that these cameras feed into a national database that can be shared with different state and federal agencies.

Forida Governor Ron DeSantis said he’s removing Flock camera from state roadways.

The announcement comes amid a growing concern over the misuse of automated license plate readers.

On Monday, DeSantis ordered all Flock cameras removed from what he calls the “*state highway system” within the next 30 days, which would include interstates like I-10 and I-75.

That order led to several sheriff’s departments like in Franklin, Liberty and Putnam Counties to announce they’re ending their own license plate reader programs.

Good for him. These cameras, while being good in some ways, were ripe for abuse by out-of-control governments. And after seeing what governments did in response to COVID both here in the US and around the world, this was definitely a major privacy concern.

Steel Magnolia's - Truvy's Cuppa Cuppa Cuppa Cake

My wife saw a clip of the movie and I’ve seen Steel Magnolia’s twice and I totally missed this scene I guess. We thought it was funny when she said she served it with ice cream to cut the sweetness.

Steel Magnolias is a Southern staple, and, obviously, so is Dolly Parton. Truvy's (Dolly Parton's character) Cuppa Cuppa Cuppa Cake is about as easy as it gets. Simply mix together flour, sugar, and fruit cocktail, and bake until golden.

I LOVE peach cobbler with ice cream. We do have our own recipe though. It was given to us years ago by one of the sweetest ladies at a church we went to at the time. I personally wouldn’t want to use fruit cocktail because they sometimes use less than ideal fruit and the pears are almost always not the best.

Peach Cobbler

Ingredients:

1 stick (8 tbsps) butter - salted

1 cup sugar

1 cup self-rising flour 

or 

1 cup regular flour with 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt 

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 

3/4 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 29 oz. can sliced peaches in heavy syrup

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350. 

Melt butter in microwave. Pour butter onto a deep baking dish (12 x 7 1/2 x 2). Mix sugar and flour well and pour in milk while whisking to prevent any lumps. Pour flour mixture over butter in dish. DO NOT stir.

Spoon peaches on top and pour syrup gently on top after peaches. DO NOT stir.

Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, until top is beginning to brown. 

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Los Angeles Street Vendors Offer Third World Standards

(These street vendors couldn't PAY ME to eat any of the shit that gets shoveled out of cookers, pots, and pans that most likely do not get washed. Not to mention all the other crap I've seen around illegitimate street vendors.) 

Import the Third World, become the Third World. This will entail adjusting our expectations regarding diet, sanitation, and public health. Colonized Los Angeles shows the way.

The New York Post reports:

A dog eating meat out of a street vendor’s bag before it was served to customers. Cockroaches crawling out of a food truck. Mice scurrying beside open salsa. Raw meat baking unrefrigerated in the heat. People urinating around cooking equipment.

These are just a handful of the stomach-churning allegations listed in a staggering 662-page dossier of 9,746 public health complaints about street food vendors filed across Los Angeles County from 2023 until early 2026.

LA’s communist mayor embraces diversity as applied to food preparation:

Karen Bass ordered the LAPD this week to stop issuing criminal citations to street vendors who flout the rules.

The move will give un-permitted food carts free reign across the city, potentially letting the conditions get even worse. …

Her office did not respond to questions about the public health complaints.

No doubt those complaining are xenophobic racists.

If the Great Replacement and Fundamental Transformation continue on pace, the next generation will be grateful to have any food at all.

FSU 34 vs 17 NMS

Despite the score, FSU has not got their game together yet. They played well, but there was nothing outstanding about their game.

I watched the UNC/TCU game so I thought I would post the score.

I only post about the 4 teams that I follow here on the blog. I usually watch a few other games out of the top teams though. I was born in Georgia so UGA is my top team. FSU is second and UF is third. MIA is on here because I love to spite them. I despise Miami.
