Florida House Republican Incumbent Gives Away Her Seat To Democrats

Felony Stupidity - NO Republican will appear on ballot for FL House District 47.

House District 47 covers St. Cloud, eastern Kissimmee, portions of Osceola County, and a smaller section of Orange County. It was expected to be one of Florida’s most competitive legislative races in November.

A stunning paperwork failure has handed Democrats a guaranteed pickup in Florida House District 47 without forcing them to win a November general election. Democrats have effectively flipped a Republican-held seat in the Florida House after GOP incumbent Paula Stark failed to qualify for the ballot and her legal effort to reverse the disastrous mistake collapsed in court. Leon County Circuit Judge Joshua Hawkes formally dismissed Stark’s lawsuit on July 23 and ordered the clerk to close the case, ending the Republican lawmaker’s last-ditch attempt to regain her place on the 2026 ballot, according to Florida Politics. The result is an astonishing and completely avoidable loss for Florida Republicans.

  1. The only positive I see is if she was too incompetent to do some paperwork then she probably wasn't going to be a diligent representative of that district.

    1. She's actually done a good job, this would have been her 3rd term.
The issue seems to be whether some of her staff turned the paperwork in on time. They say they did ... and the clerks office say they didn't.

  2. If I'm getting this right you say that this district is so red that her ONLY concern to guaranty another term is filling one form in time once every 2 years and yet she couldn't do THAT?
If she is not smart enough to fill a form in time she is not smart enough to be a representative. Florida is better of without her

Is this one of "the best people" we were promised?
