Carson was the end of the late night bloviators that could make me laugh my ass off. Leno was funny from time to time but he was never the host, nor the comedian that Carson could be, effortlessly.
I don't give a fuck if he was making $2 MILLION per year. He was worth whatever they thought he was worth to the network. Good for him. This is a capitalist country.
Once again Carson shows that the it's possible to be subtle yet devastatingly funny.
