The GOP does not have to do away with the filibuster. They just have to make the democrats actually filibuster. They won't because they're lazy. The GOP has no strategy or commitment to win. If they would make the democrats actually stand up and talk, monopolize the floor, eventually they would run out of steam and then the GOP could win the vote on the SAVE act. They are not committed to victory, only to being reelected so they can keep being paid by the lobbyists. Ma'am my words: the republican party will disappear if they do not pass the SAVE act. The voters will not reelect them. The democrats will wind up winning the legislature and America will have a one party government. And that's it the party's over, socialism and communism will be ushered in and then it's civil war. The Republican party will destroy this country with their cowardice and weakness. Within a generation, the label republican will be a political slur of they do not pass the SAVE act.
There will never be a civil war in America. A civil war would require pain, sacrifice and loss on most Americans. Most Americans are not willing to pay $0.5 more per gallon let alone true loss or sacrifice. Do you really believe that the same people that are not willing to endure a little financial pain for a limited time will somehow decide they are ok with enduring a lot of financial and emotional pain for a very long time? I don't see it happening. Republicans will get their assess handed to them in November because gas is more expensive than we like it and there is a bit more inflation than desired. Most Americans have become feckless. You will find a few committed soldiers on both sides but not enough to call it a war.
I don't believe there will be a civil war either. But I can tell for sure you don't live in the same kind of area like I live in. People here have more heart and pride than the ones you seem to be hanging out with.

WE KNOW that letting them in here only leads to pain, torture, and death ... and we welcome them with open liberal arms.
